FAQ Plasma Fibroblast Skin Tightening
What is Plasma Fibroblast Skin Tightening?
Fibroblast Plasma Skin Tightening is a non-invasive/non-surgical procedure with the same or comparable results as traditional surgery. This innovative technique cannot cause the so-called “overlifting”, as it only damages excess/loose skin which returns to its “original state” after the regeneration phase. The treated area is sublimated (converted directly to vapor) using the plasma arc, immediately reducing surface area of the skin (creating the tightening effect) and stimulating new collagen production. This procedure can be used to lift and tighten any area of the body, remove dark spots, skin tags and moles, as well as resurface the skin to treat scars, stretch marks and other blemishes.
How Does Plasma Skin Tightening Work?
Plasma Skin Tightening is a relatively new innovation in the beauty industry. The treatment has had much success for some years in Europe. The principle is to ionize gases in the air to create a small electrical arch, similar to a tiny lightning bolt, with which dermal and epidermal areas, which are affected by aesthetic problems, may be treated without spreading unwanted heat to the surrounding areas.
When the electrical arch – plasma – touches the skin surface, the heat widens the acne and is transferred into the epidermis all the way to the papillary layer which contains fibroblast cells. The result is contraction and tightening of the skin cells. Consequently, the excess skin is reduced and the result is comparable to lifting or wrinkle reduction. The tissue retraction and tightening gives results that are comparable to invasive surgery.
How Long Does Plasma Tightening Last?
The results of this procedure bare results that are comparable to similar surgical and resurfacing treatments. This is more than a simple tightening treatment. As the treatment involves the removal of the skin, the effects should last as long as they would with invasive surgery.
The positive effects of treatment will be noticeable immediately after the first treatment. .
The results of the Fibroblast treatment are permanent and may be visible for years. But we should acknowledge that the aging process is continuous and thus the skin ages every day after the procedure and this cannot be stopped. The results are permanent, but when we talk about mimic facial lines (worry lines) these may recur quickly because muscles are stronger than the skin and consequently the lines recur.
Although, you will see the best results after four weeks. For some, additional treatment is optional after six weeks for maximum results. Average results last from 2-4 years
How long does the procedure take?
The length of the procedure depends on the size area to be treated. Must first be applied the topical anesthetic (cream) is applied, minimizing the risk of pain and numbing the treated area. The anesthetic takes effect 20 minutes after the application. The procedure itself does not last long, 15–30 minutes depending on the area. The duration of the treatment (with anesthetic application): 60–90 minutes.
Is any special pre-treatment needed?
No, there is no special pre-treatment needed. It is advisable that you do not apply any cosmetic products on the treated area . During the consultation you should mention all recent surgical or aesthetic procedures.
Are the results visible immediately after the treatment?
The results are visible immediately after the treatment, but we have to inform the client that the maximum results will be visible after 3–4 weeks when the skin enters the third phase of the healing – collagen and connective tissue growth. So, results are visible immediately, but the end results follow after 3–4 weeks after the treatment.
Is the fibroblast tightening procedure painful?
Fibroblast skin tightening is a NON-invasive procedure with minimal level of pain. It is virtually painless, as the treated area is numbed before the treatment. After the treatment the treated area is red (5–12 days) and some patients may experience some swelling, which may last up to 3–4 days. At the site of each spot a small crust will form. They should not be touched and you should wait for 4–5 days for them to fall off naturally. During the procedure the clients may feel some discomfort, not actual pain, depending on the treated area.In fact this procedure does not hurt and you remember just for sure master before applied anesthetic.
How many treatments will I need?
It depends on the state of the clients’ skin and the desired degree of correction. The client is often satisfied after only one treatment, of course if, e.g. the wrinkles are not very deep, but due to the simplicity of the procedure and the affordable price the clients opt for two or even three treatments to achieve a perfect result. The procedure may be repeated after the skin is fully regenerated, so 8 weeks after the procedure.
Generally 2-3 sessions are required
Can I get multiple areas done in one session?
A single session area of treatment is limited to add up to the size of your hand. Although that may seem like a small size for just one session, your body has to take a lot of energy to properly heal.
For clients requesting large areas such as Full Face or tummy treatment, the sessions must be spaced 2 weeks apart. This is because the upper eyelid and lower eyelid are never to be treated at the same time due to excess swelling. When you receive treatment on your upper eyelid, your lower eyelid will swell as well. For the risk of excessive swelling, upper and lower eyelids will be spaced 2 weeks apart.
Keep in mind, the treatment involves creating controlled and targeted wounds. Your body must be able to properly heal without additional interference. The larger the treated area, the larger the risk of infection. Remember safety first!
For clients requesting multiple large treatment areas (ie., face and neck), it is suggested to wait 2 weeks in between each.
Aftercare is one of the most important parts of the treatment. Each client has to follow the instructions for aftercare closely to achieve the perfect results:
-Do not pick carbon crust; it will fall off in a few days
-Clean the treated area with twice a day.
-After the treatment continue applying the aftercare cream on the treated area as long as it is sensitive or when you are exposed to sun, as it contains SPF and protects the treated area.
-Avoid sauna, pools, solariums or any kind of exposure to activities which present risk for infection of the treated area
-Make sure to protect the treated area from direct sun until the skin is completely regenerated (2–3 weeks).
-Do not apply products containing alcohol or other scents.
-Until the crusts fall off, you may apply colloidal silver to prevent inflammation.
-Do not cover with plasters.
When can I do my regular cleansing after treatment?
Keep in mind, you will be given aftercare instructions and supplies to follow for 7-10 days. Once the natural scabbing has shed and the skin is not irritated, you may resume using your normal cleanser or moisturizing routine.
Can I use makeup after the Fibroblast treatment?
No.Do not use makeup after the treatment, as it generally is not sterile. First 5–6 days after the treatment, until the crusts fall off, use the antiseptic product and the aftercare cream, applying it softly to the treated area. When the crusts fall off, you may apply some makeup if necessary, as the cream the therapist gives you contains skin powder which covers the crusts and the blush.
